Position: Marketing Director Department: Marketing Description: Using information received from the Executive Director, write and send out press releases and public service announcements to a variety of media outlets across the Northwest. Create flyers and email to all Area Representatives for local posting. Hang flyers in your own area, if necessary. Design, create and distribute display boards to Area Representatives for tabling at events. Identify and table at events in your own area, when needed. Write an update for the newsletter 3x/yr. Requirements: Access to a computer with internet. Approx Time: 5-7 hrs/wk ______________________________________________________________________________
Position: Grant Specialist Department: Grant Description: Research grant opportunities Adventure Learning qualifies for. Contact possible grantees, write letters of intent, and report on grant requirements. Head up the writing of the grant while connecting with the rest of the group for support and editing, submit to organization. Submit a summary of your activities to the Newsletter Editor for publication in the newsletter, 3x/yr. Requirements: Access to a phone and a computer with internet. Approx Time: 4-6 hrs/wk ______________________________________________________________________________
Position: Newsletter Editor Department: Newsletter Description: Compile our 2 page newsletter 3x/yr using articles written by each of the director heads. Solicit articles from other volunteers, staff and the board of directors on varying environmental, wilderness and behind the scenes workings of Adventure Learning topics. Write any leftover articles not taken. Requirements: Access to a computer with internet and Adobe Reader/Acrobat. Approx Time: 2 hrs/wk ______________________________________________________________________________
Position: Scholarship Program Director Department: Scholarship Description: As our scholarship program grows we will need someone to solicit scholarships from our market areas, coordinate the distribution of scholarships and report on them in the newsletter. Requirements: None. Approx Time: 5-7 hrs/wk ______________________________________________________________________________
Position: Area Representatives (1 Rep. needed for each location) Locations: Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Lewiston, Moscow, Seattle, Spokane, Pullman, Portland, Eugene, Tri-Cities, Salem Department: Outreach Description: Post flyers received from the Marketing Director on local bulletin boards and in shop windows. Identify possible tabling events in your geographic location; schedule and carry out event (display will be provided). Refer potential scholarship recipients in your area to the Scholarship Program Director. Requirements: Access to a computer with internet. Approx Time: 4-6 hrs/wk ______________________________________________________________________________
